Monkey with a Dart is a free iOS and Android app that lets you build a stock portfolio from the S&P 500 and compete against a randomly-selected monkey portfolio and the S&P 500 index — with live prices.

Inspired by Burton Malkiel's famous assertion in A Random Walk Down Wall Street that a blindfolded monkey throwing darts at a financial newspaper could match professional fund managers.

Monkey with a Dart does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All portfolio data is stored locally on your device using your phone's built-in storage. No account or registration is required.

Third-Party Services

The app retrieves publicly available stock price data from Yahoo Finance solely to display portfolio performance. No personal information is transmitted in these requests.

The app may request permission to send push notifications for portfolio alerts. This is optional and can be disabled in your device settings at any time.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
