Inspired by Burton Malkiel's "A Random Walk Down Wall Street," Monkey with a Dart is a stock market simulator designed to test whether professional strategy can beat random chance. We value your privacy — all your data stays on your device. Always.

1. Nature of the Service

Fictional Currency: All virtual dollars and balances within the App are strictly for simulation and have no real-world monetary value.
No Real Trading: This App does not facilitate real-world stock trading, brokerage services, or financial transactions.
Not Financial Advice: Data is for educational purposes only and should not be used for real-world investment decisions.

2. Information We Collect

Simply put — none. All data created within the app — including your display name, portfolio name, stock selections, allocations, and performance history — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. We never see it, and it is never transmitted to our servers.

We do not collect:

Your name, email address, or contact information
Location data
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Financial account information
Usage analytics or crash reports

3. Stock Price Data

The App fetches publicly available stock price data from third-party financial data providers (including Yahoo Finance) to display current and historical prices. These requests are made directly from your device and contain no personally identifiable information — only stock ticker symbols such as "AAPL" or "MSFT".

4. Push Notifications

The App may request permission to send you optional push notifications (e.g. daily portfolio refresh alerts). This permission is entirely optional — the App functions fully without it. No personal data is shared with any notification service beyond a device-level push token.

5. Third-Party Services

The App is distributed via the Google Play Store and uses Google Play Services for basic app delivery. The App retrieves market data from publicly available financial APIs. No user information is shared with these services.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information from any users, there are no special provisions required for users under the age of 13. No data is transmitted from the App to us or any third party.
